In 2015 there were "TWO" Battle Of Britain Piedfort coins, the one released as a single coin with a mintage of 1,940 featuring the fifth portrait. The other Piedfort coin was part of the 2015 Silver Piedfort Proof Set featuring the fourth Portrait with a confirmed issue of 434. This Graded Battle Of Britain 50p Silver Proof Piedfort Coin is one of the Rarer Fourth Portrait Version which was taken from a set. The coin has been struck with "No 50p Denomination" in either numbers or writing on the reverse or obverse of the coin. The Royal Mint has never admitted the "Error" but this was corrected later by The Royal Mint for the Coins they put into circulation.Presented slabbed and graded by NGC PF69 Ultra Cameo, this coin is Joint Top Pop. A hint of light toning is noted but this is usual with these coins. Please view the photos for condition as that is the item you will receive.
